• 8 x 68s                (European favorite)
• 9,3 x 64               (European favorite)
• 375 H + H (the minimum calibre allowed for the "big five")
• Rifles can be hired from the safari outfitter.
• Shot guns-12 gauge
• Only soft nose ammunition is allowed for plains game.
• Bring approx 80 rounds in case your rifle needs to be resighted.

CLOTHING
Informal clothing in neutral colours such as khaki or dark green is recommended and you will need warm clothing for evenings and early mornings.
It is essential to be equipped with well worn-in footwear with soles designed for quiet movement when stalking. It is of fundamental importance to bring a suitable hat, sunglasses and a sun block of at least SPF30 along to protect you from the harsh rays of the African sun.
